Q: Angie from Robbinsville asks… Dear doc, lots of female celebrities seem to be resorting to plastic surgery for fuller lips. Does that last forever, or do you have to keep getting it done?
A: Hi Angie, your right, those full luscious lips you see the celebrities pouting aren’t all natural. Many of them use temporary injectable fillers to plump them up. Fillers are injected with a tiny needle by a doctor into your lips and last from eight months to a year. The most common products used here in the U.S. are Restylane, Juvederm and Belotero. but you can also use own fat as a natural filler. When done right your lips can be filled out very nicely and look awesome. The key is not to overdo it and look overfilled. I’m sure everyone has seen celebrities who didn’t know when to say that’s enough. With lips more doesn’t always meen better. If your interested find a qualified PS or dermatologist who does a lot of injectables.
